New Zealand discus and javelin thrower (born 1949)

Sally Ann Mene (néeFlynn; born 2 December 1949) is a former discus and javelin thrower from New Zealand.[1][2][3]

Sally competed in both the1970 British Commonwealth Games and the1974 British Commonwealth Games.[1]

Sally Flynn married Mene Mene, a decathlete, in 1970 and they had three children together.[4] Their sonChris Mene is also a discus thrower, and their daughterBernice Mene was captain of the New Zealand netball team, theSilver ferns.[5]
