Salers (French pronunciation:[saˈlɛʁ],Occitan:Salèrn) is acommune in theCantaldepartment in south-centralFrance. It is a member ofLes Plus Beaux Villages de France (The Most Beautiful Villages of France) Association.

It is famous for theAppellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) cheesesCantal andSalers. It is also famous for theSalers breed of cattle that originated in this commune.

It was pillaged byRodrigo de Villandrando in the late 1430s, during the final phase of theHundred Years' War.
