Salem West or 'Salem (West)' is astate assembly constituency in theIndian state ofTamil Nadu that was formed after the constituencydelimitations of 2008. Its State Assembly Constituency number is 88. The previous constituencies,Salem I andSalem II, were redrawn asSalem North,Salem South and Salem West.[2] It comprises portions of theOmalur andSalem taluks. It is a part of the widerSalem Lok Sabha constituency for national elections to theParliament of India.[3] It is one of the 234 State Legislative Assembly Constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
