Sainte-Alvère (French pronunciation:[sɛ̃talvɛʁ];Occitan:Senta Alvèra) is a town and formercommune in theDordognedepartment in southwesternFrance. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new communeSainte-Alvère-Saint-Laurent Les Bâtons,[2] which merged into the new communeVal de Louyre et Caudeau on 1 January 2017.[3]
The remains of theChâteau de Sainte-Alvère are located in the town centre.
