At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 4,392 in 1,216 households, when it was inKuhpayeh District[b] ofIsfahan County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 4,698 people in 1,473 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 5,063 people in 1,618 households.[2]
In 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment ofKuhpayeh County and renamedTudeshk District. The city and the rural district were transferred to the newSistan District.[4]
