Sagñay,[saˈŋaj], officially theMunicipality of Sagñay (Central Bikol:Banwaan kan Sagñay;Tagalog:Bayan ng Sagñay), is amunicipality in theprovince ofCamarines Sur in thePhilippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 36,841 people.[3]

Sagñay was established in the late 17th century by the Spanishfriars. Like the town ofLagonoy, Sagñay also formed part of the province ofAlbay but it was separated in the year 1846 by the order ofGovernor General Narciso Claveria.
The parish of St. Andrew was founded in the same year that Sagñay gained its independence as a town. The town's annualfiesta is held every November 30, honoring Saint Andrew the Apostle - Town's Patron Saint.
Sagñay has a land area of 154.76 sq kilometers (59.75 miles).
