Sabrina Singh (born 1988)[1] is an American administrator who served as the Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary in theUnited States Department of Defense from April 2022 to January 2025. Singh previously served asSpecial Assistant to the President andDeputy Press Secretary for Vice PresidentKamala Harris in theBiden administration from 2021 to 2022.[2][3]
She is an alumna of theUSC School of International Relations.[4]
Singh started her career as the press assistant at theDemocratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She served as thePress Secretary toKamala Harris, the formerVice President of the United States, when Harris wasCalifornia's senator. Earlier, Singh was appointed as a National Spokesperson forMichael Bloomberg 2020 presidential campaign. She has also served as the National Press Secretary forCory Booker 2020 presidential campaign. She was theCommunications Director inHillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.[5] Singh has served as the Deputy Communications Director for theDemocratic National Committee, and spokeswoman forAmerican Bridge's Trump War Room.[6]
Since her departure from the federal administration she has commented on military and economic policy onFox News as part of their "All-Star" panel,[7][8][9] and commented on theUS military groupchat leak for multiple news outlets.[10][11][12]
Sabrina Singh is ofSikh heritage.[4][13] Her grandfatherJagjit Singh (aka J. J. Singh), the head of the India League of America, hailed fromAbbottabad in the present dayPakistan. The family moved to the United States before thePartition of India.[13] Her father Manjit was born in 1956 inNew York City; when he was five years old, his parents returned toNew Delhi with their entire family. Manjit and his brother Manmohan grew up inDelhi. Following the death of Jagjit Singh in 1976, Manjit and Sabrina's mother Srila, decided to immigrate to the United States again.[4] Manjit was an executive with Sony Home Entertainment and chairman and CEO ofSony India.[14]
She is married to Mike Smith, the political director forNancy Pelosi, the formerSpeaker of the United States House of Representatives.[5]
