SKF-82,958 is asyntheticcompound of the3-benzazepine family that acts as adopamineD1 andD5 receptorfull agonist.[1][2] SKF-82,958 and similar D1-like-selective full agonists likeSKF-81,297 and6-Br-APB produce characteristicanorectic effects,hyperactivity andself-administration in animals, with a similar but not identical profile to that ofdopaminergicstimulants such asamphetamine.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11] SKF-82,958 was also subsequently found to act as anagonist ofERα with negligible activity atERβ, making it a subtype-selectiveestrogen.[12][13]
