Moon of Saturn
S/2004 S 17 is anatural satellite ofSaturn . Its discovery was announced byScott S. Sheppard ,David C. Jewitt ,Jan Kleyna , andBrian G. Marsden on 4 May 2005 from observations taken between 13 December 2004 and 5 March 2005.
S/2004 S 17 is about 4 kilometres in diameter, and orbits Saturn at an average distance of 19,847,000 kilometres in about 1,044 days, at aninclination of 168.1° to theecliptic , in aretrograde direction and with aneccentricity of 0.165.[ 2] [ 4]
This moon was consideredlost [ 5] until its recovery was announced on 12 October 2022.[ 2]
