Group of parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in the United States
TheRussian Orthodox Church in the USA is the name of the group ofparishes of theRussian Orthodox Church in America that are under the canonical authority of thePatriarch of Moscow and all Rus' . They were previously known as theRussian Exarchate of North America beforeautocephaly was granted to theOrthodox Church in America (OCA) in 1970. According to the US Religion Census of 2010, there were 12,377 congregants,[ 1] but only 1900 regularly attended. There are 31 parishes and 2 monastic communities.[ 2]
