TheRural Municipality of Moose Jaw No. 161 (2016 population:1,163) is arural municipality (RM) in theCanadian province ofSaskatchewan withinCensus Division No. 7 andSARM Division No. 2. It is located in the south-central portion of the province, surrounding the city ofMoose Jaw.
The RM of Moose Jaw No. 161 incorporated as a rural municipality on December 11, 1911.[2]

In the2021 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada, the RM of Moose Jaw No. 161 had a population of1,207 living in496 of its557 total private dwellings, a change of5.6% from its 2016 population of1,143. With a land area of 777.62 km2 (300.24 sq mi), it had a population density of1.6/km2 (4.0/sq mi) in 2021.[7]
In the2016 Census of Population, the RM of Moose Jaw No. 161 recorded a population of1,163 living in459 of its524 total private dwellings, a1.4% increase from its 2011 population of1,147. With a land area of 793.73 km2 (306.46 sq mi), it had a population density of1.5/km2 (3.8/sq mi) in 2016.[4]
The RM of Moose Jaw No. 161 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the second Tuesday of every month.[3] Thereeve of the RM is Ron Brumwell while its administrator is Mike Wirges.[3] The RM's office is located in Moose Jaw.[3]
