In the2021 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada, the RM of Hoodoo No. 401 had a population of802 living in367 of its824 total private dwellings, a change of18.8% from its 2016 population of675. With a land area of 786.69 km2 (303.74 sq mi), it had a population density of1.0/km2 (2.6/sq mi) in 2021.[8]
In the2016 Census of Population, the RM of Hoodoo No. 401 recorded a population of675 living in293 of its802 total private dwellings, a-4.4% change from its 2011 population of706. With a land area of 810.58 km2 (312.97 sq mi), it had a population density of0.8/km2 (2.2/sq mi) in 2016.[4]
The RM of Hoodoo No. 401 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the second Wednesday of every month.[3] Thereeve of the RM is Glenn Ledray while its administrator is Fay Stuart.[3] The RM's office is located in Cudworth.[3]
