TheRural Municipality of Estevan No. 5 (2016 population:1,370) is arural municipality (RM) in theCanadian province ofSaskatchewan withinCensus Division No. 1 andSARM Division No. 1. Located in the southeast portion of the province, it surrounds the City ofEstevan. The RM is adjacent to the United States border, neighbouringDivide County andBurke County inNorth Dakota.
The RM of Estevan No. 5 incorporated as a rural municipality on December 12, 1910.[2]

In the2021 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada, the RM of Estevan No. 5 had a population of1,279 living in474 of its527 total private dwellings, a change of-6.6% from its 2016 population of1,370. With a land area of 772 km2 (298 sq mi), it had a population density of1.7/km2 (4.3/sq mi) in 2021.[4]
In the2016 Census of Population, the RM of Estevan No. 5 recorded a population of1,370 living in487 of its525 total private dwellings, a20.3% change from its 2011 population of1,139. With a land area of 773.38 km2 (298.60 sq mi), it had a population density of1.8/km2 (4.6/sq mi) in 2016.[7]
The RM of Estevan No. 5 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.[3] Thereeve of the RM is Jason LeBlanc while its administrator is Michelle Dickie.[3] The RM's office is located in the City of Estevan.[3]
