Rumney Marsh Reservation is aMassachusetts state park occupying over 600 acres (240 ha) in thetown ofSaugus and city ofRevere. Thesalt marsh is located within theSaugus andPines River estuary and provides habitat for many different migratory birds and marine life. The park is managed by theMassachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.^[3]^[A]

Activities and amenities

Visitors can partake in birdwatching, non-motorized boating, fishing, walking, and hiking.

^Several indigenous people from theNaumkeag group were known by the moniker "Rumney Marsh" includingGeorge Rumney Marsh,James Rumney Marsh, and Thomas Rumney Marsh.
