Ruffin Hamilton III (born March 2, 1971) is an American former professionalfootball player who was alinebacker in theNational Football League (NFL). After playingcollege football for theTulane Green Wave, he played in the NFL for theGreen Bay Packers and theAtlanta Falcons.
He played at the collegiate level atTulane University.[1] He also was a guard inbasketball during his time there.[2]
Hamilton was selected by theGreen Bay Packers in the sixth round of the1994 NFL draft and spent the1994 NFL season with the team.[3] After two years away from the NFL, he spent three seasons with theAtlanta Falcons.
Hamilton was born on March 2, 1971, inDetroit,Michigan.[4] His sonElijah Hamilton is a cornerback for theSt. Louis Battlehawks of theXFL who also played for the Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins.[5]
