TheRoyal Swedish Academy of War Sciences (Swedish:Kungliga Krigsvetenskapsakademien) is one of theRoyal Academies inSweden and was founded on 12 November 1796 by Gustaf Wilhelm af Tibell. The academy is an independent organization and a forum for military (army and air force) and defense studies as well asnational security issues. Membership is limited to 160 chairs under the age of 62.
