Thewomen's double sculls competition at the2016 Summer Olympics inRio de Janeiro was held on 6–11 August at theLagoon Rodrigo de Freitas.[1]

The medals for the competition were presented byNenad Lalović,Serbia, member of theInternational Olympic Committee, and the gifts were presented by Lenka Dientsbach-Wech,Germany, Member of the Executive Committee of theInternational Rowing Federation.
