Rosen Bozhinov (Bulgarian: Росен Божинов; born 23 January 2005) is aBulgarian professionalfootballer who plays as adefender forBelgian Pro League clubRoyal Antwerp.[2]
Born inKnezha, he started his youth career in local Miziya Knezha, then moved toEtar, before joiningCSKA Sofia in 2021.[3] On 30 April 2022 he made his professional debut for CSKA, in a league match againstLudogorets Razgrad.[4]
On 17 June 2022 he left CSKA Sofia to joinCSKA 1948.[5] In January 2024 he was on trials withŚląsk Wrocław, but 2 weeks later he returned to his parent club.[6][7] On 16 February 2024 he resigned with CSKA 1948.[8] 2 days later he completed his professional debut for the team in a league match againstEtar.[9]
On 21 June 2024 Bozhinov joined Belgium clubRoyal Antwerp, signing a contract until June 2028.[10]
He was given his first-team debut at Antwerp by coachJonas De Roeck, coming on as substitute againstCercle Brugge on 6 October 2024,[11]
