Rose M. Patten,OC OOnt is a Canadian businessperson and philanthropist. She has served as the 34thChancellor of theUniversity of Toronto from 2018 to 2024.[1] Born inSt. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador,[2] she is a Special Advisor to the CEO ofBMO Financial Group.[3]
In 2012, she was awarded theQueen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. In 2017, she was made an Officer of theOrder of Canada in recognition for having "served her community with dedication and inspiration".[4] She was made a Member of theOrder of Ontario in the class of 2021.[5]
