Roque Germán Olsen Fontana (9 September 1925 – 15 June 1992), commonly known asRoque Olsen, was anArgentinefootball player and manager.
Olsen started his playing career in the local leagues ofParana,Entre Ríos. In 1949 he was signed byTigre, the following year he joined championsRacing Club de Avellaneda. After playing 15 games for Racing Club, he joinedReal Madrid where he went on to become one of the club's most important goal scorers.[1] He played out his career withCórdoba CF in the late 1950s.
Olsen started his managerial career withCórdoba CF leading them to promotion toLa Liga in 1962. He then managedDeportivo La Coruña,Real Zaragoza andFC Barcelona. He also managedElche CF,Sevilla FC andCelta Vigo. His last managerial position before his death in 1992 was as manager ofUD Las Palmas.
