Romeo James Beckham (born 1 September 2002) is an English formerfootballer who played as aforward. He is the second son of former footballerDavid Beckham and fashion designer and formerSpice Girls member,Victoria Beckham.

Early life

Romeo James Beckham[1] was born on 1 September 2002[2] atPortland Hospital in theCity of Westminster, London.[3] He is the son of the formerEngland international captainDavid Beckham and the singer-turned-fashion designerVictoria Beckham.[4] His brothers,Brooklyn and Cruz, also played football with him forArsenal, however, both were released from the club's youth system.[5] He remains an Arsenal supporter.[6] He attendedWetherby School in London and, then,Millfield School inStreet, Somerset.[7][8]

In 2014, Beckham joinedArsenal's Academy but was released the following year.[5] After his release, he admitted that he no longer wished to pursue a career in football, instead taking uptennis training withAndy Murray.[9] However, in 2020, Beckham announced that he was looking to return to football after a five-year absence.[6] In support of the decision, his father replaced the tennis court he had previously built at the family home with a football pitch.[9]

Club career

In September 2021, after turning 19, Beckham joinedUSL League One clubFort Lauderdale CF (renamed Inter Miami II in 2022), the reserve affiliate of his father'sMajor League Soccer clubInter Miami.[10] This came after he had been seen training with the Inter Miami team in February.[11] On 19 September, Beckham made his professional debut in a 2–2 draw againstTormenta FC.[citation needed] In that match, he appeared alongsideHarvey Neville, the son of his father's formerManchester United teammatePhil Neville.[12] On 26 January 2022, Beckham made his non-competitive senior debut for Inter Miami during a 4–0 pre-season win againstClub Universitario de Deportes.[13]

In October 2022, Beckham began training in England withBrentford B,[14] who he joined in January 2023 on a six-month loan.[15] He made his debut four days later, coming on as a second-half sub in aLondon Senior Cup game againstErith & Belvedere atPark View Road.[16] He scored his first goal on 14 February 2023, in aMiddlesex Senior Cup game againstWealdstone, scoring a 93rd minute winning goal in a 3-2 victory.[17] In May 2023, Beckham was part of the Brentford B squad that won the2022–23 Premier League Cup, although he was an unused substitute in the cup final.[18] He made 15 appearances for Brentford B during the 2022–23 season.[19] At the conclusion of his loan, he signed a permanent one-year contract with Brentford B.[20][21]

Beckham was the face of theBurberry childrens' line at the age of 10 years old. He walked the runway forVersace at the 2025Milan Fashion Week.[22]

Personal life

In 2019, Beckham made his relationship with model Mia Regan official via hisInstagram account. They allegedly split after three years of dating in the summer of 2022, but got back together later that year.[23] The couple announced they had split again in February 2024.[24]
