Aroll way orrunning pad is the pad placed on aconcrete slab or on theties on the outside of the1,435 mm (4 ft 8+12 in)conventional track along bothrunning rails of arubber-tyred metro or along the unconventional track of atram. The rubber-tyred wheels roll directly on the roll ways.
