Roger Island River

TheRoger Island River is a small tidalestuary betweenIpswich andRowley, Massachusetts. It is a southern branch of the largerRowley River passing around Roger Island.

Roger Island River is navigable for small craft, and home tobass,shad, andalewives. Its banks are lined with tidal saltmarshes and abound inclams. Today the river is popular forkayaking.
