Rodolfo González (born 14 May 1986 inCaracas) is a Venezuelanracing driver.[1]
After previously competing inkarting, González raced in the 2003Formula Renault 2.0 UK Winter Series, before racing in the main series in 2004 and 2005 while attendingCity College Norwich.
He won theBritish F3 International Series National Class in2006 for T-Sport. In 2007, he continued to show promise by finishing eleventh in the2007 British Formula 3 season with T-Sport.
In2008, he moved toCarlin Motorsport and theFormula Three Euroseries and endured a miserable season, amassing just half a point in the rain-shortened sprint race atLe Mans.

He replacedAndreas Zuber[2] for the third round of the2008–09 GP2 Asia Series season atSakhir, and finished sixteenth in his first race. He eventually wound up 23rd in the championship, with a best finish of eighth in the sprint race atSepang.
González entered the mainGP2 Series for the first time as a replacement forDavide Rigon atTrident Racing for the German rounds.[3]
He also competed inEuroseries 3000 in2009, finishing in fifth position.
González raced forArden International in the first round of the2009–10 GP2 Asia Series season before being replaced byJavier Villa.[4] He returned at the final round inBahrain, replacingSergio Pérez atBarwa Addax.[5]
González returned to Arden for the2010 GP2 Series season alongsideCharles Pic. He scored four points and finished 21st in the drivers' championship. For 2011, he moved toTrident Racing, where he competed alongsideStefano Coletti. He finished seventeenth in theAsia series and 26th in themain series. He was then signed byCaterham Racing alongsideGiedo van der Garde for the2012 season, in which he finished 22nd in the championship.

In 2010 González was given a drive in theLotus T127 at the end-of-season young driver test inAbu Dhabi, alongside BulgarianVladimir Arabadzhiev.[6]
On 14 March 2013Marussia F1 announced that González would be the team's reserve driver for the2013 Formula One season.[7] He drove in the practice sessions at theHungarian,Italian andKorean Grands Prix for Marussia, notably crashing in the latter.[8]
González competed in the 2014 ELMS Championship with the Murphy Prototypes Endurance Racing Team in the LMP2 category, and the 2014 Le Mans Classic.
González testedIndyCar Series cars in the 2014–2015 off-season withSchmidt Peterson Motorsports andDale Coyne Racing. He was a surprise addition to the IndyCar Series entry list in the fourth round of the2015 IndyCar Series season atBarber Motorsports Park in the Dale Coyne No. 18 entry.[9]
In 2023, González was announced to drive for Idola Motorsport in theBritcar Prototype Cup in aPraga R1 with Ruben Stanislau.[10] He won the opening race of the season atSilverstone.
