Robert Gravem Webb (February 18, 1927 – September 18, 2018[1]) was anAmericanherpetologist, expert in thesystematics andbiogeography of reptiles and amphibians, and professor emeritus ofbiological science at theUniversity of Texas, El Paso.[2]
Webb received hisPh.D. in zoology from theUniversity of Kansas in 1960.[2]
Webb had over a hundred publications to his name. He specialized in amphibians and reptiles of the southwesternUnited States andMexico.[1][3]
The snakeLampropeltis webbi is named after him.[2][4]
