Robert Francis Lyons (born October 17, 1939) is an American actor of film and television. He is best known for guest starring in numerous popular television shows since the 1960s and for appearing in such films asGetting Straight (1970),Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981),Death Wish II (1982),Murphy's Law (1986) andPlatoon Leader (1988).[1]
Lyons made his screen debut in the television seriesI Dream of Jeannie and made his film debut inPendulum (1969), followed byGetting Straight (1970). Since then he has appeared in such films asShoot Out (1971) (as the main villain, opposite good guyGregory Peck),Avenging Angel (1985) andPray for Morning (2006) and such television shows asGunsmoke,Medical Center,Falcon Crest,Roswell andCriminal Minds.[2] In 1999 he played Dr Lester Arnold onDays of Our Lives. In 2015 he co-starred withDanny Trejo in thezombie filmThe Burning Dead.[3]
