Ritam (Serbian Cyrillic:Ритам, trans.Rhythm) was aYugoslavmusic magazine. Prior to the appearance ofRitam, there were Yugoslav magazines dedicated tojazz,[1] butRitam, founded in 1962, was the first Yugoslav magazine which dealt with jazz as well asrock andpop music, thus paving the way for Yugoslav rock magazines likeDžuboks andPop Express.[2][3]
Ritam magazine was founded in 1962 by publisherDnevnik fromNovi Sad.[4] It was dedicated to jazz andpopular music.[4] The editor-in-chief waspoetMiroslav "Mika" Antić.[4] The first issue was released on October 1, 1962.[4] The price of an issue was 50dinars.[4] Before August 1965, which was when the last issue was published, 39 issues have been released in total.[4]
