Rita Taggart is an American film and television actress. She is known for playing Carla Bouvier onNight Court.

Biography

Taggart was the third wife ofcinematographerHaskell Wexler from 1989 until his death at age 93 in 2015.[1]

On television, Taggart portrayed Blanche onSteambath,[2]: 1017  Marie Roscini inHello, Larry,[2]: 450  Diane inEye to Eye,[2]: 319  and Joan Foley inAlmost Grown.[2] Her TV acting credits included guest role appearances on such shows asRhoda,Taxi,Kate & Allie,Scarecrow and Mrs. King,Quantum Leap,Coach, andCagney and Lacey.

Her film credits include the made-for-TV movieJames Dean (1976),Coming Home (1978),The China Syndrome (1979) and the TV movieWait Till Your Mother Gets Home! (1983). She has most recently appeared in the filmsCircle in 2010 andGo for Sisters in 2013.
