Richard O'Connell (13 March 1892 – 1 October 1964) was an IrishCumann na nGaedheal politician. A former Army officer, he was first elected toDáil Éireann as a Cumann na nGaedhealTeachta Dála (TD) for theLimerick constituency at aby-election on 28 May 1924.[1] He was re-elected at theJune 1927 andSeptember 1927 general elections but lost his seat at the1932 general election. He stood again at the1933 general election but was not elected.[2]
His nephewTom O'Donnell was a TD forLimerick East from 1961 to 1987. His grand-nephewKieran O'Donnell is currently a TD forLimerick City.[3]
