Ricardo Alfredo Valiño (born 2 January 1971 inBuenos Aires) is an Argentinefootball coach. He was most recently the manager of theVenezuela national under-20 team.

Career

Valiño who never played professional football, started his career assisting Gabriel Orlando Rodriguez during his coaching stay with the academies ofSan Lorenzo,River Plate andVélez Sarsfield.

He arrived atVenados at 2011, where he stayed until 2014, with a total of 104 games coached.[1]

Since May 2014, started coachingBUAP. He was sacked in April 2016, after coaching a total of 80 games.[2]

In April 2016 he was announced as new coach ofPuebla ofLiga MX.[3]

On 25 April 2017, he was appointed manager ofCelaya.[4] On 4 July 2018, he was dismissed from the position after failing to obtain the requested results.[5]

On 4 October 2018, he was appointed as Manager of theClub Atlético Zacatepec.[6] In December 2019, he was runner-up in theTorneo Apertura 2019.[7] On 26 June 2020, the transfer of Club Atlético Zacatepec to Morelia was announced,[8] the team was renamedAtlético Morelia and Valiño continued with his position in the new team.[9]

On 14 March 2023, was announced by theVenezuelan Football Federation as head coach of the Venezuelan national teamsU-20 andU-23 and internal head coach of the U-17 team to theSouth American U-17 Championship.[10]
