Ricard Sánchez Sendra (born 22 February 2000) is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as aright-back forPrimeira Liga clubEstoril.[1]
Born inSant Jaume dels Domenys,Tarragona,Catalonia, Sánchez joinedFC Barcelona'sLa Masia in 2013, fromGimnàstic de Tarragona. He left the club in 2017,[2] and played briefly forCD Toledo before joiningAtlético Madrid in 2018.[3]
After making his senior debut withthe reserves inSegunda División B, Sánchez made his first team debut on 16 December 2020, starting and scoring the second in a 3–0Copa del Rey win againstCE Cardassar.[4] He made his professional – andLa Liga – debut the following 20 February, in a 0–2 home defeat againstLevante UD.[5]
On 31 August 2021, Sánchez signed a four-year deal with fellow top tier sideGranada CF, and was immediately loaned toCD Lugo inSegunda División forthe season.[6]
Sánchez is a former Spanish youth international. He was part of Spanish squad which won2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.[7]
