Constituency of the National Assembly of France
The 14th constituency of theRhône (French :Quatorzième circonscription du Rhône ) is a French legislativeconstituency in the Rhônedépartement MP using atwo round electoral system .
The 14th constituency of theRhône lies to the south east ofLyon forming part of the greater urban conglomeration.It contains the large town ofVénissieux as well as those parts ofSaint-Priest not included inRhône's 13th constituency .
The seat has a strong left wing tradition having been represented by aCommunist Party deputy for many years. At the 2017 election the incumbentPS deputy switched toEn Marche . He subsequently easily held the seat in the face of a second round challenge by theNational Front .[ 3] 2022 , whenLa France Insoumise gained the seat as part of theNUPES alliance.
