The Republic of Ireland won the1998 UEFA European Under-16 Championship inScotland and the1998 UEFA European Under-18 Championship.
The team had never qualified for theFIFA Under-17 World Cup (formerly theFIFA Under-17 World Championship andFIFA Under-16 World Championship) until2025 which they'll be competing in November, the team also did not enter the1985 edition.
