Renève (French pronunciation:[ʁənɛv]) is acommune in theCôte-d'Ordepartment in easternFrance, 30 km north east ofDijon. It sits on theVingeanne river, close to theCanal entre Champagne et Bourgogne.
The town was the site of QueenBrunhilda of Austrasia'storture and execution in 613, the aged monarch being racked for three days, and then torn apart by horses.
