Reginald Philip "Reggie" Freeman (born May 17, 1975) is an American former professionalbasketball player.
Freeman playedNCAAcollege basketball at theUniversity of Texas. He had a prolific career at Texas, making All-Conference First Team in both his junior and senior seasons.[1] Widely considered a first round draft candidate in the1997 NBA draft, he nevertheless went undrafted.[2]
Although he never made it to theNBA, Freeman played professionally in several countries on three continents. Basketball clubKK FMP from Serbia retired his jersey with number #5 for the great contribution he had made during his tenure with the team.[3] He is regarded as one of the best foreign players to ever play for any Serbian basketball team.
Freeman was a member of theU.S. Virgin Islands national basketball team at the2009 FIBA Americas Championship.
