Redina Island (Bulgarian:остров Редина,romanized: ostrov Redina,IPA:[ˈɔstrofˈrɛdinɐ]) is the ice-free island in theOnogur group off the northwest coast ofRobert Island in theSouth Shetland Islands, Antarctica extending 280 m in east-west direction and 130 m wide. It is separated from Robert Island by a 20 m wide passage.
The island is named after the settlement ofRedina in Western Bulgaria.
Redina Island is located at62°21′16″S59°41′02″W / 62.35444°S 59.68389°W /-62.35444; -59.68389, which is 1.22 km north ofMisnomer Point and 760 m southwest ofShipot Point. Bulgarian mapping in 2009.
