Rayna Denison is a British film and arts scholar.

Biography

Denison pursued Japanese studies at theUniversity of Oxford, continuing to theUniversity of Nottingham to attain herMaster of Arts andDoctor of Philosophy degrees.[1] She has previously taught as a senior lecturer at theUniversity of East Anglia.[2][3] Denison is a professor and the head of the department of film and television at theUniversity of Bristol.[4][5] She co-edited the collectionSuperheroes on World Screens, which was nominated for anEisner Award for Best Academic/Scholarly Work in 2016.[6][7]
