Randaberg Idrettslag is aNorwegian sports club fromRandaberg. It has sections forfootball,swimming,gymnastics andvolleyball.
Before the 2007 season, the football team made the national news as it increased its budget significantly in order to gain promotion, signing players likePetar Rnkovic andSindre Erstad whileKjell-Inge Bråtveit was hired as manager.[1]Øyvind Svenning,Jørgen Tengesdal andBjarte Lunde Aarsheim joined Randaberg from first-tier clubs during the summer.[2] The club also unsuccessfully tried to lure former playerErik Fuglestad out of retirement.[3]
