Ramal da Figueira da Foz, also known asRamal de Pampilhosa, and originally asLinha da Beira Alta, together with the section fromPampilhosa toVilar Formoso, is a closed railway line inPortugal. It connected the stations ofFigueira da Foz (which is also the terminus of theLinha do Oeste) to the station ofPampilhosa, at the junction ofLinha do Norte andLinha da Beira Alta, with a total length 50.4 km. It was opened on 3 August 1882,[1] and closed on 5 January 2009, for safety reasons.[2]
