Ramūnas Navardauskas (born 30 January 1988) is a Lithuanian former professionalroad racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2011 and 2022 forCannondale–Drapac,Bahrain–Merida,Nippo–Delko–One Provence and theVoltas Cycling Team.[7][8] Following his retirement as a rider, Navardauskas worked as adirecteur sportif forUCI Continental teamEF Education–Nippo Development Team in 2023.[9]
After four years in the amateur ranks, Navardauskas turned professional withGarmin–Cervélo in 2011.[4]
During the2012 Giro d'Italia, Navardauskas finished sixth in theopening individual time trial; twenty-two seconds shy of AmericanTaylor Phinney (BMC Racing Team).[1][10] Instage four's team time trial, Garmin–Barracuda were victorious, and Navardauskas took the race lead. He became the first Lithuanian to wear thepink jersey.[1][11] However, Navardauskas lost the jersey to ItalianAdriano Malori (Lampre–ISD) onstage six. In April 2015, Navardauskas won theCircuit de la Sarthe by a single second overManuele Boaro, winning the race for the second consecutive year.[12]
In September 2017 Navardauskas had a successful heart surgery for a cardiac arrhythmia.[13]
Born inŠilalė, Navardauskas previously resided inOliva,Valencian Community, Spain.[4] In September 2017, he married fellow Lithuanian cyclistGabrielė Jankutė, and the couple have two children – a son born in 2020,[14] and a daughter born in 2024.[15]
