Rally Madison FC is awomen's soccerclub based inMadison, Wisconsin. Owned by Big Top Events, it is the sister club ofForward Madison FC, and plans to commence play in theUSL W League in the 2026 season. The club also holdsfranchise rights for a future team in theprofessionalUSL Super League. Its home ground isBreese Stevens Field.

History

Big Top Events were awardedfranchise rights for the burgeoningUSL Super League in 2023.[1][2] Though the planned professional team was supported by Madison's municipal government, who sought a $4 million grant from the Wisconsin government to upgradeBreese Stevens Field,[3] the club failed to procure the necessary upgrades to meetU.S. Soccer's Division I standards.[4][5]

Rally Madison's entry into the amateurUSL W League was announced at halftime during a Forward MadisonUSL League One game in August 2025.[6] Prior to the club's branding launch at The Slyvee in December,[7] it operated under theplaceholder nameUSL W League Madison,[8][9] and hiredGiuliano Oliviero from theMilwaukee Wave as its first everhead coach.[10] Among the club's first ever player signings wereEdgewood High School of the Sacred Heart record goalscorer Sonoma Bever,[11]Muskego High School defender Elsa Maurer,[9]Milwaukee Panthers forward Addison Werth,[12] andRockford Raptors goalkeeper Malia Zillman.[13]

Culture and branding

The nameRally Madison FC was chosen throughpublic consultation,[6][14] and honours both thewomen's suffrage movement, and Wisconsin's ratification of thenineteenth amendment – the first state to do so.[7] The club'screst was designed by Madison-basedadvertising agency Shine United,[5] and depicts a bust ofWisconsin, the statue atop theWisconsin State Capitol, adorned with a crown depicting theFlag of Madison's cross.[7] The club's mainsupporters' group isThe Flock, who originate from Forward Madison.[4][5]

Rally Madison'shome ground isBreese Stevens Field in downtownMadison, Wisconsin, which they share with Forward Madison. Its first season of play in 2026 will coincide with the stadium's hundredth anniversary, opened in May 1926.[6][14]

Organization

Rally Madison is owned by Big Top Events, who also own the Forward Madison men's soccer team and theMadison Mallardscollegiate summer baseball team.[8][15] Conor Caloia leads the club through his role aschief operating officer, while Liz Lawrence manages the club as itstechnical director.[10]

Giuliano Oliviero serves as Rally Madison'shead coach, while Tenzin Rampa and technical director Liz Lawrence serve asassistant coaches.[10][16][17] William Banahene serves as itsgoalkeeper coach.[18]
