Rajgurunagar, formerly known asKhed, is acensus town in thePune Metropolitan Region of theIndian state ofMaharashtra. It is situated on the bank of theBhima River and on thePune-Nasik National Highway (National Highway 60).[2] It is the headquarters ofKhed taluka in thePune district. Rajgurunagar is about 10 km fromChakan.
The town was known by the name Khed in the past. In the 1960s the name was changed to Rajgurunagar in honour ofShivaram Rajguru, anIndian freedom fighter, who was born there.

Bharat Forge'sspecial economic zone (SEZ) named asKhed City[3] is the biggest SEZ in Pune spread over 1,000 ha (2,500 acres) of notified land inKhed taluka.[4][5][6]
MARS International India Pvt.Ltd., the global manufacturer of chocolates, snack foods and pet foods acquired a large parcel of land in Khed City (Bharat Forge's SEZ). The Company will set up its first manufacturing facility in India here with investment of Rs 1,005crore (over $160 million).[7][8]
