Radha Yadav (born 21 April 2000) is anIndiancricketer.[1] She plays forMumbai,Baroda andWest zone.[2] She made her debut in major domestic cricket on 10 January 2015 againstKerala.[3]

Early life

She was born prematurely in the seventh month inKandivli (West),Mumbai.[4] She lives in a 225 sq. ft. house, behind her father's vegetable stall, which is placed outside the society which was redeveloped under the Slum Redevelopment Area (SRA) scheme.[4] Her father Omprakash Yadav originally belongs toJaunpur district ofUttar Pradesh.[5] She started playing cricket in the society's compound with boys, where her coach, Prafful Naik, noticed her and has trained her since she was 12 years old. He shifted her from Anandibai Damodar Kale Vidyalaya to Our Lady of Remedy (Kandivali) in 2013.[6] She went to Vidya Kunj School.[7]

Career

She made herWomen's Twenty20 International cricket (WT20I) debut forIndia Women againstSouth Africa Women on 13 February 2018.[8]

In October 2018, she was named in India's squad for the2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies.[9][10] She was the joint-leading wicket-taker for India in the tournament, with eight dismissals in five matches.[11]

In January 2020, she was named in India's squad for the2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia.[12]

On Nov 9, 2020, during final match of Women's T20 Challenge 2020, between Trailblazers Vs Supernovas, she become the first T20 player of Women's T20 Challenge to take 5 wicket haul.

In February 2021, she was named in India'sWomen's One Day International (WODI) squad for their seriesagainst South Africa.[13] She made herWomen's One Day International (WODI) debut for India, againstSouth Africa, on 14 March 2021.[14]

In May 2021, she was named in India'sTest squad for their one-off match against theEngland women's cricket team.[15]

She played forSydney Sixers in the2021 Women's Big Bash League.[16] In July 2022, she was named in India's team for thecricket tournament at the2022 Commonwealth Games inBirmingham, England.[17]

She was named in the India squad for the2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup[18] and their homeODI series against New Zealand in October 2024.[19]
