Rachel Margaret Taylor[1] is a BritishLabour Party politician serving as theMember of Parliament forNorth Warwickshire and Bedworth since2024.[2]

Taylor was born and educated inWarwickshire. She studied at theUniversity of Leeds, where she was Vice President for Welfare in theUniversity Union.[3] She has previously worked as a solicitor, specialising inproperty law, and helped to run a retail business in the North Warwickshire area. She has also been atennis umpire atWimbledon.[4][5]

Taylor served onNorth Warwickshire Borough Council representing the ward of Atherstone Central,[6][7] and was first elected to represent one of two seats in the constituency on4 May 2023; the other seat was won by Neil Dirveiks, also a Labour councillor.[7] She was selected to contest the new seat of North Warwickshire and Bedworth for Labour in December 2023.[8] She was described as being among a number ofLGBTQ+ parliamentarians byPinkNews in 2024.[9]
