Race Point is the point on the north side ofSmylie Channel forming the south extremity ofWeddell Island in theFalkland Islands.^[1] The point is located at51°59′22″S61°00′00″W / 51.98944°S 61.00000°W /-51.98944; -61.00000, which is 26.7 km south-southwest ofSwan Point, 3.5 km west-northwest of neighbouringDyke Island, 1.8 km north ofWest Island and 4 km north-northeast ofOrford Hill,West Falkland.
