Rabid Rider is a 2010 animatedLooney Tunesshort film featuring the charactersWile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. Directed byMatthew O'Callaghan and written by Tom Sheppard,[1] the film was first shown in theaters beforeWarner Bros.' feature-length filmYogi Bear.[2] In 2014,Warner Bros. Animation published this short onYouTube.[3] The film also came before the 2018 theatrical re-release ofBatman: Mask of the Phantasm.
A4D version – enhanced with physical effects like vibration, flashing lights and blasts of air – runs in a specially equipped theatre at theCincinnati Zoo.[4]
Wile E. Coyote intends to use anACME Hyper Sonic Transport to catch the Road Runner, but the transport has inherent problems of its own.
Rabid Rider was released theatrically byWarner Bros. Pictures withYogi Bear.[5]
The short was also released on theYogi Bear Blu-ray.[6]
The short was included on theLooney Tunes Super Stars' Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote: Supergenius Hijinks DVD. It was also included as a bonus on the DVD release ofLooney Tunes: Rabbits Run.[7]
