Raúl Llorente Raposo (born 2 April 1986) is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as aleft-back.

Club career

Born inMadrid, Llorente graduated from theAtlético Madrid youth system, playing three seasons with thereserve side in theSegunda División B.[2] In2008–09 he first appeared in theSegunda División, starting and being relegated withAlavés.[3][4]

After one more year with theBasques, Llorente returned to the second tier and signed a two-year contract withXerez.[5] In January 2012, however, he moved back to division three and joinedTenerife,[6] helping the club to achieve promotion at the end of the2012–13 campaign by contributing 29 games and two goals (play-offs included).[7]

In another Januarytransfer window, in 2014, Llorente moved abroad for the first time, going on to spend several seasons in theSuper League Greece withKalloni[8] andPlatanias.[9] On 28 August 2017, the 31-year-old agreed to a one-year contract withWestern Sydney Wanderers of the AustralianA-League.[10]

Llorente returned to football on 25 December 2020, joining third division clubVillarrobledo.[11]

International career

Llorente representedSpain at the2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship,[12][13] making five appearances in the competition for the runners-up.[14]
