Raúl Rodrigo Lara Tovar (born 28 February 1973) is a Mexican former professionalfootballer who played as amidfielder andmanager. He is the current assistant manager ofLiga MX clubAmérica.

Career

Lara was a member of theMexico national team at the1998 FIFA World Cup, playing three games at the tournament. He participated also at1996 Summer Olympics. Famous for two mistakes that caused Mexico's elimination against Germany in the1998 FIFA World Cup.
