Rh family, C glycoprotein, also known asRHCG, is aprotein that in humans is encoded by theRHCGgene.[5][6]

Function

RHCG plays a critical role inammonium handling and pHhomeostasis in the kidney.[7] The structure of the RHCG protein[8] indicates that it has a hydrophobicammonia-conducting channel and shows that it shares a common fold with the ammonia transporters, thus making it anammonia transporter.
