Rh family, B glycoprotein, also known asRHBG, is anammonia transporterprotein which in humans is encoded by theRHBGgene.[5][6]

Function

[edit]

RHBG and RHCG are non-erythroid members of theRhesus (Rh) protein family that are mainly expressed in thekidney and belong to the methylammonium-ammonium permease/ammonia transporters superfamily. Rh family proteins are all predicted to betransmembrane proteins with 12 membrane spanning domains and intracytoplasmic N- and C-termini.[5]
